Tariffs slow economic growth - they don't accelerate it. And I don't understand how the budget bill will accelerate economic growth, given that it's not meaningfully cutting tax rates, but rather keeping them where they currently are.

Private universities should not be obliged by the govt to discriminate against foreign students. Public universities, because they were designed to educate a state's students, generally do already discriminate against students from out of state, which seems fine.

It would have been funny if Trump said this, but he didn't. Instead he said "... or spread democracy at the point of a gun." He was saying, as you'd expect, that the military shouldn't be used to spread democracy, but only to achieve realpolitik goals.
