Yesterday I presented my final PhD seminar on the use of bayesian models to improve the spatial resolution of health data in Australia🎉Huge thanks to all those who supported me through this journey, particularly QUT Centre for Data Science and Cancer Council Queensland!

Excited to get this #PhD work published! 📢 Introducing a two-stage Bayesian model for proportions, tackling sparsity and instability. We validated the model through simulations and estimated smoking prevalence at the SA2 level along the east coast of Australia.

The Australian Cancer Atlas 2 is live and we've had so much positive feedback! I'm really excited to hear how the wider community, clinicians & researchers respond to ACA 2 & the new ways the Atlas will be used to make change and improve cancer outcomes across Australia & beyond
