You can’t solve the problems in the SEND system without increasing support for children struggling with talking and understanding words. A choice of early language interventions that close the gap for half of children and identify those who need extra support is crucial!

Today is a terrible and confusing day. A Government that supposedly prioritises early years has let the Early Years Professional Development Programme close - without any explanation to children, families or early years staff. 🤞🤞🤞 @dfe can reverse this at the #SpendingReview.

It is horrendous that Govt. has allowed EYDPD to close without an alternative, especially when they claim #EarlyYears are a priority. Children need early years staff who know how to support their speech, language, personal, emotional and social development. We can't fail them!
