In 2019, I met Neasa Hourigan TD and Janet Horner for the first time at the barricades we placed outside Brown Thomas car park to make South William Street car-free for a day. Yesterday, we were among a large crowd led by an amazing group of activists from so many organisations.

Eamon Ryan is right to highlight this significant milestone on the road to decarbonising Ireland’s economy. It simply wouldn’t have happened without Green Party Ireland being in government…

Excellent discussion last night. Neasa Hourigan TD clearly showing her depth of knowledge of party policy, workings of Government and vision for the future. All communicated in her usual clear manner. Neasa has my vote for Deputy Leader.

Glued to this last night. Neasa will make a fantastic Deputy leader. Strong, clear and honest. Absolutely has my vote.

Well done to Luke and all the team on bringing this documentary together! 👏 If anyone wants to tune in for insights into what the most exhausted and stressed I've ever been looks like, it's on at 9.35p.m. on Monday! 😬🙈🎉

I'm reading this report now, and it's the kind of thing that gives "work for hire" a bad name. The figures below are calculated from two basic inputs...

Great to see a new record of nearly 300 million passengers travelled on Irish Rail, Bus Éireann or Dublin Bus services last year. It's clear that public transport services are improved, people will use them. Now to implement the DCC & GDA transport plans! irishtimes.com/business/2024/…

The Dublin City Centre Transport Plan will go ahead. The first measures — bus gates on the quays — will start in four weeks. Big thanks to everyone who helped get this across the line.

Delighted to get Cabinet approval for an important new law that will allow women who get seriously ill while on their maternity leave to suspend that leave for a full year.

Good news on the Dublin City Transport Plan, between 7am and 7pm just 2% of movements are by private car on that section of the quays. Plans to restrict traffic in Dublin city to go ahead rte.ie/news/2024/0725… via RTÉ

Great news that the Council is pushing ahead with the city centre transport plan! A relatively modest change is coming to the quays in 4 weeks time that will help reduce private cars cutting through the city centre. Listen back to my thoughts here on RTÉ: rte.ie/radio/radio1/c…

The UN independent international fact-finding mission for Sudan published findings today: They found reasonable grounds to believe the RSF & allied militias committed war crime AND crimes against humanity including murder, torture and rape on the basis of ethnicity & gender.
