We're excited to share that PhD candidate and all around ketone expert, Shubham Soni, successfully defended his PhD Thesis this week! Congrats Dr. Soni! We cannot wait to see what you accomplish as a clinician scientist!

Congratulations goes to Dania Al-Rimawi who successfully defended her undergraduate honours thesis last month! We're proud to share that Dania was ⭐️awarded⭐️summer studentships from NSERC / CRSNG, Women & Children's Health Research Institute and Alberta Innovates to keep her research going this summer!

We're welcoming undergraduate student Darius Sahid to the lab this summer! Darius was funded by a summer studentship from the University of Alberta Undergraduate Research Initiative 🎊

The lab is thrilled to share that Masters student, Mya Schmidt, was ⭐️awarded⭐️ a CGS-M from NSERC / CRSNG for her work on ketones and inflammation!

Mya also earned a Medical Sciences Graduate Program Scholarship from UAlberta Med & Dent, a Walter Johns Graduate Fellowship from University of Alberta and a Grant for Women Graduate Students from Soroptimist! Congratulations Mya! 🎉
