All of you players and parents out there that won’t even consider D3 or NAIA baseball, let me tell you something. You are missing out I’ve watched a full season now of Muskingum Baseball and have seen some phenomenal teams and players. The talent level is insane

The talent separation gap from D1>D2>D3>NAIA and Juco is getting closer and closer together. And with all of the changes in roster sizes starting next year you are gonna have to be an absolute STUD and be dominating every team you play in Hs to be considered D1

Well Jasper Owens Freshman year ended yesterday. As a team Muskingum Baseball finished the season tied for the most wins in school history. Jasper’s season had some ups and downs but that’s expected as a freshman #prouddad Final stats 100 AB .320 AVG .429 OBP 6-2B 1-3B 1-HR 12

The PCCL in Central Indiana is still accepting players. 2025 commits and current rostered college players are eligible. Games start June 10th and go until July 20th. DM me for details, I can’t get the post to post the link This is the league Jasper is playing in this summer

Now that we’ve had a little bit to decompress, man am I thankful for this team. These seniors brought a love for the game of baseball that was unmatched and it showed. They tied the school record for wins, they set the bar for a winning standard here, and they empowered others.

This team is hungry for more, and we can’t wait to get back to work in the fall to chase the goal, which is an OAC tournament appearance.

We couldn’t do it without our staff. Best staff around and I’ll stand on that. Coach Jacob, Coach Engle, Coach Rider and Coach Miller, make our program better in every way. Their investment in our athletes as human beings is unmatched.

Jasper’s contribution to this was a 3.86 GPA. His highest ever. Throw in hitting .320 with a .429 OBP in a 121 PA. Plus a home run in his 3rd college AB. I’d say he had a pretty damn good freshman year. #prouddad
