Tomorrow MSPs will debate whether to proceed with the NCS Bill. Its by no means perfect, but it does give us the best opportunity to deliver on much needed reforms in social care. Without an NCS Bill, I think it's unlikely that we will see any real change for carers in Scotland.

The majority of unpaid care in this country is carried out by women. When policy makers make decisions to not fund and prioritise social care, what they're really telling us is that lives of women and girls are not worth investing in. Happy #IWD2024 to all of us🙃

Where is the choice and control? They are currently advertising a higher hourly rate than they will pay families managing a Direct Payment. Where’s the equity?
