Today's STAAR failure has created unnecessary stress for our districts, students, and parents. Beyond being an inefficient measure of student success, we now know it's also an ineffective, unreliable, and dysfunctional system. It's time we reassess this assessment.

The $64 million Texas Education Agency spent on a failed #STAAR testing contract could have funded about 1.1 million teachers and interventionists this year. Instead they paid for data which (especially now) is largely unreliable to tell us that we need more teachers and interventionists 🤦🏻‍♀️
