Young people today give me so much hope. They’re bold, informed, and making a difference. With support and opportunity, their potential is limitless. Earlier this year, I spoke with students and staff at Loretto Abbey Catholic Secondary School. #YouthInspiration #BlackHistory

When I walked into Parliament as the first Black woman elected to the House of Commons, I knew I was standing on the shoulders of many who came before me, shepherding the dreams of my grandmother, the stories of immigrants, the courage of women and the aspirations of young people
