Excited to have this work finally published on Nature Communications. With the Trcek lab Johns Hopkins University, Silvi Rouskin and Thirumalai Lab @ UT Austin labs, we show that RNA structure impedes intermolecular base pairing in germ granule. nature.com/articles/s4146…
Our work on genetic variants that affect RNA stability is out in Nature Genetics! We present the RNAtracker computational pipeline, which can distinguish between transcriptionally- vs. stability-mediated regulation of gene abundance. bit.ly/42aihk2 (1/n)
I am excited to share my graduate work in David M. Sabatini and Dave Bartel’s labs. Since their discovery, we have known lysosomes possess RNase activity; however, their substrates were not known. Surprisingly we find specific RNAs are targeted for degradation! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Our annual event at Norwich RNA Club: AI in RNA Biology. Great speakers! Please join us this Thursday at 2pm John Innes Centre Earlham Institute Alper Akay Wilfried Haerty Yiliang Ding Norwich RNA Club Norwich Research Park UEA
Why does the naked mole rat have the longest lifespan and healthspan of any rodent, nearly 40 years? A 30-year long mystery unraveled Science Magazine today! Its cGAS enzyme in cells has 4 missense mutations that upends its function, promoting DNA repair and suppressing
I would strongly advise every American leader and policymaker to listen carefully to David R. Liu - the most important scientist and innovator of our lifetime and the person who invented both Base editing & Prime editing - the 2 top leading modalities of Gene editing, when he
✨ Happy to share that our work is now published in The EMBO Journal! ✨ Our fantastic collaboration between Moreno-Mateos Lab from Centro Andaluz de Biología del Desarrollo and BazziniLab from Stowers Institute. Take a look to our updated thread (1/14): embopress.org/doi/full/10.10…
Please take a look to this fantastic thread of Luis Hernández-Huertas leading this work from our lab that pioneers the use of CRISPR-RfxCas13d screenings to uncover new maternal regulators of early development in fish. More exciting screenings are coming with new factors, stay tuned! :)
