The impossible has become possible: we've passed a clean CEQA infill exemption. This is probably the most important thing California has done on housing in the present YIMBY moment.

I honestly can barely believe this happened. Total YIMBY victory in California today. After Newsom signs this bill; CEQA will no longer apply to *any* infill housing under 85’. No inclusionary zoning or labor provisions.

In my lifetime there have been just a few things I saw but still couldn’t believe were real: Jordan flu game, Red Sox ‘04 comeback agains the Yankees, Tiger ‘97 Masters, and Buffy Wicks making infill housing CEQA exempt. Bravo to the team at California YIMBY

We are on the receiving end of some big league cognitive dissonance from both certain CEQA consultants and cities about the new AB130 CEQA exemption. Sorry folks but its the law. Adopted for a very good and intentional reason. Now implement it and dont f—- around!
