Since 2015 Queen Mary University of London joined the initiative, now in an extended format comprising two weeks and a series of new activities. In the past nine years the School has gathered international scholars and students from different countries.

Despite being held in Rio, the event is open to participants from any part of the world.

Third day of the Winter School! In today’s session, João Nogueira and Jef Huysmans discussed how to think the international post-humanly and analyzed how blood and vehicles could be seen not merely as objects but as nodes in an entanglement of relations that constitute politics.

Ritu Vij discussed the limits of auto-ethnography/storytelling on generating repair, ending the course with two questions: What does this desire tell us about the limits of knowledge today? What does it tell us about the political landscape in the contemporary conjuncture?

Third day of the 2nd week of the IPS Winter School: Sam Opondo discussed the erotics of love and modes of epistolary writing. Sam asked the students to write letters and read them collectively to create a community of writing based on the circulation of feelings and desires.

Paulo Chamon, Lara Selis and Victor Lage discussed Mbembe's contributions, mainly the difference between "discrimination" and "differentiation" and the Ethics of the Passerby.
