Just had a phone catch up with German friend, teacher, my age: she had what she calls a "breakdown", probably badly overworked. Was admitted to psych hospital, got better, asked to continue as day patient after a week as caring responsibilities, had 6 weeks day hospital 1/2

Government with their head in the sand. Yes the pressures are unsustainable- current symptoms include patients waiting hours for ambulances in the community, long waits in ED and no beds in the hospital and it’s only October.

We call it the fly the patient principle. Imagine a plane with an engine on fire… . One pilot keeps the plane in the air Other pilot works out how to solver the underlying problem. We can do same in resus. #EuSEM21
