This was such a fun collaboration with Annis Richardson! Great to have another part of my PhD work with Cristobal Uauy on #biorxiv_plants

Really excited to share that our new article with Anna Backhaus, Ajit Singh, Keywan Hassani-Pak, and Cristobal Uauy is now out in G3 Genetics Society of America ! g3journal.org/content/10/10/…

SEUNG LAB - The origins and mechanisms of diversity in starch composition in wheat and wild relatives. Work on an exciting collaborative project with KewGardens to uncover genetic factors controlling starch composition in wild grasses findaphd.com/phds/project/t…

Looking for a PhD that combines bioinformatics, genetics and biochemistry? Very excited to offer this project with me @KewScience and David Seung John Innes Centre exploring starch diversity in wheat and wild grasses! Deadline 23rd November.

STUDY - Researchers from the John Innes Centre and Earlham Institute have contributed to a major international collaboration that could catalyse a new era of wheat discovery okt.to/ua3qYg

NOVEL APPROACH - As part of this work, wheat researchers led by Jemima Brinton in the Cristobal Uauy lab are pioneering a new technique that promises to improve gene discovery for the globally important crop jic.ac.uk/news/novel-hap…

Really excited for our work on haplotypes led by Jemima Brinton homonecloco and colleagues. Made possible by 10+ Wheat Genome Project led by Curtis Pozniak. Wheat is a beautiful tapestry. I explain why we think this is exciting in a thread. (1/n) nature.com/articles/s4200…

Congratulations Cristobal Uauy 🥳!! This is so well deserved. You really go above and beyond to support people, so it's wonderful that this can be officially recognised!!

This is such a wonderful story: from Triticum polonicum long glumes > underlying gene + proposed mechanism > dosage dependent re-creation of phenotype in hexaploid wheat using transgenics. Congratulations all, especially Nikolai Adamski - @nikolaiadamski.bsky.social James Simmonds Cristobal Uauy 🌾

Massive congratulations Sophie Harrington 🥳🥳🥳!!

FIRST paper with @KewScience: Scaling up neodomestication for climate-ready crops. Led by Rafal Gutaker, with Sam Pironon, Jemima Brinton, Elinor Breman, and Elena Castillo-Lorenzo, we plan a pathway to future crops: Free link: authors.elsevier.com/c/1eRwI4tPF3mL…
