Miss having Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA at #ASBH22 so much!! She’s a force and a leading voice in Black Bioethics. So glad to get to participate in this conversation about the amazing The Hastings Center for Bioethics report on Anti-Black racism today (and rave about Faith in her absence so she can’t stop us)

This plenary is phenomenal. Abigail Echo-Hawk telling us she’s going to make us uncomfortable. ā€œWorking toward equity is uncomfortable and not voluntary.ā€ YES. Seriously one of the best and most important plenaries I’ve seen. #ASBH22

Saw this gorgeous and powerful piece of art in the #ASBH22 exhibit hall. Didn’t see a sign, no idea what it was. Well Abigail Echo-Hawk is TELLING US. I can’t even express the power of this talk and the layers embedded in this dress that I couldn’t (and can’t) begin to comprehend.

Working w/ graduate students is one of the biggest privileges of academic life. I am faculty at a UC precisely because I want the opportunity to mentor, work w/, & learn w/ & from early career scholars across many disciplines. We need #FairUCNow so I can pay them a living wage!

The beautiful and informative content that comes out of the Emancipatory Sciences Lab is due to our amazing team of graduate student co-assistant directors. We support them. If I was in charge of our content it would be one 37 tweet-long thread every 4 months. No one wants that #FairUCNow

Great event happening this Thursday! Come learn with and from the survivors of forced sterilization in CA & help spread the word about the ongoing reparations program! Will feature amazing speakers & highlight the phenomenal advocacy work that got us herešŸ“£bit.ly/020223

Such a privilege to publish w/ @DrKeishaRay Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA & Daphne Martschenko, PhD! So grateful to @DrKeishaRay for leading this effort (and all the labor to make it perfect!) I write on carceral medicine & the need for #AbolitionEthics. If #bioethics says #BLM we must center incarceration

Health, illness & healthcare in women's prisons occur at the intersection of racism, classism, sexism, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia & violence. To move #FromCrisis2Care we must seek #HealthNotPunishment. šŸ‘€ ā¬‡ļø New report by CURB & CCWP humanimpact.org/HealthNotWomen…
