Miss having Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA at #ASBH22 so much!! Sheās a force and a leading voice in Black Bioethics. So glad to get to participate in this conversation about the amazing The Hastings Center for Bioethics report on Anti-Black racism today (and rave about Faith in her absence so she canāt stop us)

Alright #ASBH22: have an interest in ethical issues in incarceration?? Today is your day!! 1st: 7am Psych AG: Addressing Carceral Harm & Mental Illness. 2nd: 9:45 a panel w/ Andrea K. Knittel & Matt Murphy on ethical considerations of research w/ incarcerated pts. Join us!

Fred Ward took the room to church! Was so glad to be there. Thanks Paul J Ford for connecting him with #ASBH22! Grateful we were able to learn from him! Thanks Laura Guidry-Grimes for organizing a great session!

This plenary is phenomenal. Abigail Echo-Hawk telling us sheās going to make us uncomfortable. āWorking toward equity is uncomfortable and not voluntary.ā YES. Seriously one of the best and most important plenaries Iāve seen. #ASBH22

Saw this gorgeous and powerful piece of art in the #ASBH22 exhibit hall. Didnāt see a sign, no idea what it was. Well Abigail Echo-Hawk is TELLING US. I canāt even express the power of this talk and the layers embedded in this dress that I couldnāt (and canāt) begin to comprehend.

A year ago we awarded Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA the 1sr Dr. Claretta Dupree Award for commitment to justice in bioethics. Today at #ASBH22, based on Faithās nomination, we present the 2nd Claretta Dupree Award to Virginia A Brown PhD. ā¤ļøIntergenerational community & celebration w/RACE AG!

Seriously this The Hastings Center for Bioethics sessions at #ASBH22 was amazing. This panel of editors is doing some of the most important work in the field right now! @DrKeishaRay Virginia A Brown PhD and Patrick Smith were awesome and it was a wonderful community space. We all missed Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA

The ā¦Emancipatory Sciences Labā© is out in the wild!! Hosting a reception with ā¦Routledge Booksā© at #GSA2022!! Our fearless leader ā¦Jarmin Yehā© welcomes the crowd. #AgingAtoZ

The beautiful and informative content that comes out of the Emancipatory Sciences Lab is due to our amazing team of graduate student co-assistant directors. We support them. If I was in charge of our content it would be one 37 tweet-long thread every 4 months. No one wants that #FairUCNow

Soooo I donāt know if you know because you missed the closing session, but Feminist Midwife š³ļøāšš you won the student paper award!!! Well deserved for fantastic scholarship!!!! #reproethicsconf2023

I canāt speak highly enough about #reproethicsconf2023. Thanks so much to @IBHH_UTMB & Lisa Campo-Engelstein. Seriously mark your calendars for this meeting next year! Fantastic scholarship, amazing discussions, and really lovely people!

Such a privilege to publish w/ @DrKeishaRay Faith Fletcher, PhD, MA & Daphne Martschenko, PhD! So grateful to @DrKeishaRay for leading this effort (and all the labor to make it perfect!) I write on carceral medicine & the need for #AbolitionEthics. If #bioethics says #BLM we must center incarceration
