Strong images indeed. And 99% (!!!) of the people of the world breathing unhealthy air. This is something we can change and must change.

The health community achieved a lot at last year's UN climate negotiations. The outcomes of the talks also still fell short of action we need, to protect people's health. Economist Impact gave me a chance to reflect on all this, and on where we go from here.

100% support this. Also need to get fossil fuel interests out of climate negotiations and policy making. And need to stop subsidizing the industry with public funds & picking up the tab for the cancer, asthma, strokes, heatwaves, etc. that their products cause.

Climate change is a health threats multiplier. This #WorldEnvironmentDay‌, I echo richard horton’s call to the whole health sector community to strongly advocate for keeping fossil fuels in the ground, and ensuring health is at the centre of #ClimateAction.
