We dug ourselves too big of a hole early in the game tonight, but the team kept fighting the whole time. The girls never gave up and made it tight down the stretch. In her first start of the season Lindsay Hart was big with 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Dow vs Hemlock

We had a balanced attack with 4 players in double figures tonight. This was a big win to keep our chances alive at an SVL title!

Dow vs MtPleasant

Down 6 after the opening Quarter, Dow turned on the defense and all 17 points the entire 2nd Half to remain a game back in the League Standings. 4 Lady Chargers finished in Double Digits. Dalton Deboer & Jenna Butcher (8 Rebs) had 12, Lindsay Hart & Melanie Kolnitys 10.

The girls played a great defensive game and pushed well in transition. Dalton DeBoer had another big night shooting and Melanie Kolnitys and Jenna Butcher controlled the offense with the pick and roll.

Good team win to finish out the regular season 15-7 and 3rd place in the SVL. Another strong defensive showing has been the calling card of this team all season. Now it’s time for the playoffs!

So much for a “rebuilding” year. 17 wins and counting, 3rd in the SVL, and a 5th straight District Title, and 6 out of the last 7!!!!!!

So much to be proud of: 6 scorers between 6 & 14 pts, 18 assists on 20 FGs, 58% from 3, won the rebounding & TO battle, and of course another District Title. This team & these seniors are making their own mark on Dow High Basketball History!
