A little bit later that planned, thanks to covid, I have finished my FINAL placement!!! Skills book all signed and 2300 hours done!! Obligatory last day in student uniform photo. WeStudentNurses π University of Essex #studentdaysareover

I'm now one step closer to being a registered nurse - I had my exit interview with University of Essex today, skills book is complete and 2300 hours are done! WeStudentNurses π #nearlyanurse

I feel a bit lost. I don't feel I am a student nurse anymore, but equally, with nothing on paper, I don't feel able to call myself a newly qualified nurse. It also feels like an anticlimax waiting till October for results. #studentnurse #Nurse #nqn University of Essex

Tomorrow is my 1st day in my new role as a nurse, well nurse awaiting pin. I feel like I shouldn't be wearing blue, even though I know I've worked hard for the last 3 years to earn the privilege. Excited and scared in equal measures! #nqn WeStudentNurses π WeNurses π

I love hearing that 'Listen' is doing its work in the world, from healthcare (like Jenny Bacon here) to parenting to coaching to volunteer listeners in training. Thanks to everyone who has sent feedback. It always moves me deeply & warms my heart that you've tried out the skills.

My proudest tweet - degree results are in - I got a 1st!!!! What a feeling - it was totally worth the hard work. WeStudentNurses π WeNurses π University of Essex

Thank you Amanda Cushing for the care and devotion you give in your role.

Thanks @Matthew0sb0rne for the opportunity to speak to final year nursing students about EOL care today University of Essex Health & Social Care I enjoyed sharing my passion. Lovely to see some familiar faces Professor Camille Cronin and Karen Hudson

I've have had the pleasure of teaching the next generation of nurses the wonder of #palliaitve and #endoflife care. I hope I've corrected some misconceptions and inspired nurses to explore this wonderful area of nursing. Thanks to @Matthew0sb0rne for organising University of Essex

Are any of my medical friends able to help me? I'm looking into dependency tools used in palliative care, specifically for inpatient unit, can anybody share or point me in the right direction please? The literature seems sparce #palliative #eolcare #hospice Kathryn Mannix

Watching the last episode of #hairybikers this evening just broke me. The way they spoke was so poignant, it's like they knew this was the last ride together #RIPDave my thoughts go out to his family and friends Hairy Bikers

Available on BBC Sounds very interesting listen on death, dying and having those tender conversations sooner than later. Hosted by colin murray with the brilliant Kathryn Mannix
