Read more on the history of the fight for Affirmative Action in this piece by Vox's Fabiola Cineas. She interviewed African American Policy Forum co-founder Luke Harris: "There's never been a measure to integrate people of color...that wasn't made controversial" vox.com/scotus/2374224…

Are you #IOpsych ABD or new PhD? Or an Assist prof looking to move? I’m chairing our search and hope you apply to join our Penn State IO Psychology family! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

More connections with the best people! Can you believe Jes Matsick was one of my grad student mentors when I was a fresh little undergrad RA? And now she’s giving me all the advice as a fellow feminist psych professor! 🥰

#SPSSICON24 begins today with poster sessions! Students Corrinne Chase and Emerson Todd, MA (he/they) 🐝 are presenting their research on gendered advocacy perspectives among Gen-Z. Stop by the Hamilton room to check it out!

Yes! As of 1.5 years ago, Brit Wardecker and I have a mixed-track PhD household. Brit’s non-ac work has both amazing and super annoying aspects; so does my academic career. Just do what seems like a good track for you and let others do the same. Both careers are good careers!✌🏼

I defended my dissertation 12 years ago TODAY, so it feels fitting to share about my recently published paper at Journal of Personality and Social Psychology (JPSP) with my forever collaBAErator Evava (Eva) S. Pietri Available at: dx.doi.org/10.1037/pspi00… 1/n

I love my grad students for many many reasons, but their commitment to blending “coconut tree” into a paper we are writing is high on the list. Emerson Todd, MA (he/they) 🐝 "Participants exist in the context of all in which they live and what came before them."

In other Flourish news, check out our new paper! In it, we discuss the role of faculty affinity groups in psychological science. We would not have been able to write it without our wonderful community and their contributions to our network. compass.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/sp…
