Australia is about to commit the biggest act of ocean environmental vandalism ever, replacing 400,000 km2 of highly protected no-take areas with partial protection - when did your sex-ed teacher ever tell you that partial protection works? No refuge for this little fella

Scientists ow.ly/Xt1w30l3H91, musicians ow.ly/jx3H30l3H8I and the community ow.ly/anCk30l3H9E all know this windback is bad for oceans and for people. Australia once a marine conservation leader has lost its way. Partial protection doesn't work. Lend your voice

For every kg of prawns caught, creeling impacts around 1.8m2 of seabed whilst trawling impacts 33000m2. Less than 5% of inshore waters are protected from bottom towed fishing. There should be preferential access for less damaging fishing methods. Why not Scottish Government?
