How is endocytosis initiated at synapses? In this new collaborative paper with JianLiu-Theoretical Cell Physics Lab, led by Tyler Ogunmowo & Haoyuan, we suggest a novel idea - exocytosis causes lateral membrane compression, leading to the pit formation! rdcu.be/dczkM

Our work "Bursting translation on single mRNAs in live cells" is now published on Molecular Cell. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…. It is incredible when working with such an amazing group of people, Nathan Livingston, Jiwoong Kwon, JianLiu-Theoretical Cell Physics Lab, Green Lab , Taekjip Ha.

Single Molecule Bacteriology III is coming in 2024! Great working again with my favorite colleagues Achillefs Kapanidis Stephan Uphoff and Meriem El Karoui, and welcome @seamus_holden! Register your interest here to receive the latest news: biochemistry.org/events-and-tra…

Proud to present Xinxing Yang and Jason Lyu's hard work in this detailed STAR Protocol for single-molecule labeling and tracking of bacterial cell d... sciencedirect.com/science/articl… If you want to become an expert in SMT of cell division proteins, follow this protocol!

Very excited to share that our paper about Inducible RNA decay and P-Body is published on Nature Communications. This work was spearheaded by Lauren A Blake Biophysics Dept@Johns Hopkins Med in collaboration with Inoue Lab at JHMI and Yang Liu. nature.com/articles/s4146…

Juanma García-Arcos shows that plasma membrane tension gradients are spontaneously formed in adherent cells. Unexpected because of membrane fluidity, cells combine adhesion to limit lipid diffusion and branched actin polymerization to increase tension at the cell edge, bravo Juanma!

Trick bacteria with light! It took us a very long time to publish this work, but perseverance and teamwork prevailed. @ Ryan McQuillen Xinxing Yang @ Amilcar Perez @Malcolm Winkler @ Erin Goley @ Kumaran Ramamurthi nature.com/articles/s4146…
