Dr. Qiu Zhaozhu Qiu, a faculty member Physiology Department JHMI Johns Hopkins Medicine, was a postdoc fellow with newly minted The Nobel Prize winner Ardem Patapoutian Ardem Patapoutian 2010-2016, contributing to the discovery and functional study of touch- and volume-sensing ion channels. #WeArePhysiology


I am excited to announce that I will be opening a laboratory in the Cell Biology Department Emory School of Medicine this coming winter! We will study signal processing in the somatosensory system using mouse genetic tools, electrophysiology, and imaging.

Our KIF5A ALS story is online today. This project was initiated with Gary J. Bassell and was carried on by two talented postdoctoral fellows Devesh Pant and Janani Parameswaran. It is also not possible without great collaborations with Arne and Jochen Weishaupt. Thank you all!
