One of the first papers on effectors I ever read was Tian et al. 2007 (Sophien Kamoun) in Plant Physiology. That moment sparked my love for this journal, and today, alongside Jiaxuw-plant and Soham Mukhopadhyay, we’ve achieved a dream of publishing in it: academic.oup.com/plphys/advance… This milestone

Something I'm proud of is that out of our 11 publications this year, 8 were in society journals—a reflection of our lab's commitment to prioritizing good publishing practices: ASPB: 1⃣academic.oup.com/plphys/advance… Entomological Society of America: 2⃣academic.oup.com/aesa/article/1… Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution: 3⃣ (Reference
Canola transformation is challenging and time-consuming, but thanks to Jiaxuw-plant, we now have three clubroot effectors in canola. Two exciting studies using these lines will be out as preprint this year—stay tuned! 🤞
Our reviewed preprint is out in eLife - the journal! 🎉 Thank you Soham Mukhopadhyay for your persistence! Congratulations also to Muhammad Asim Javed & Jiaxuw-plant for your contributions! EdeLab just turned 5! 🎉 Grateful for all we’ve achieved — from starting with almost no funding, surviving COVID, learning French, to building a dream team. Moving to Québec and joining Université Laval was the best decision of my life. Merci à tous!
Thank you to Trends in Microbiology for the kind invitation and for launching this inspiring TrendsTalk series. I’m sure it will have a wide and lasting impact across the scientific community! 👏 How many Cuban scientists do you know? Probably not many, and there’s a reason. Legal
Thanks 😊 more exciting stories coming from our lab! Edel Pérez-López
Very happy to share our article recently published in Trends in Genetics!! 😊Great thanks to my supervisor Edel Pérez-López and Soham Mukhopadhyay for their support 🙌
This week Jiaxuw-plant was representing the lab at the Cell Press Symposia : Towards sustainable agriculture: Genomics, bioengineering, and smart technologies! A lot of groundbreaking science, discussions and insightful feedback 👏 He presented two posters and a flash talked
