Breaking Gretzky’s record is amazing by itself but the way Ovechkin did it is otherworldly! 42 goals in 61 games this season at 39 years old. And oh, btw, he broke his leg in the middle of it! Insane!!! One of greatest accomplishments in all of sports history.

This is a sad day around here. Many of us in the broadcast and hockey community lost a great friend today. Greg Millen worked hard to stay in the NHL for 14 seasons, and worked even harder on his craft as a broadcaster. He loved the game so much.

Ray Shero, a longtime NHL team executive who was also a significant contributor to USA Hockey and its men’s national team program, passed away last night. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. Ray, thank you for everything.
