Author nominations for the IPCC Special Report on #ClimateChange & Cities close in three days. It is really important to have a balanced gender representation of authors, with wide range of expertise & regional perspectives. Submissions close on Friday, 20 Sept.

The Pact for the Future has been adopted at United Nations HQ in NYC. We welcome the reflection of many IPCC scientific findings in the Pact, including to “accelerate the reform of the international financial architecture so that it can meet the urgent challenge of #climatechange.”

I enjoyed an excellent conversation with Finnish parliamentarians after my IPCC briefing on our plans for the seventh cycle. We covered the importance of the land use sector in reaching #NetZero, how to define 1.5°C warming, and the link between climate & biodiversity.
