The exhibition explores the past, present and future of the local area. The first exhibit is an artistic timeline which traces some of the stories, events and memories of The Ripple and was designed together with staff, volunteers & community members

Our second exhibit is made up of three tapestries exploring the present, all by The Ripple director Rachel Green. The first (stunning!) tapestry is a personal exploration of Rachel’s life, using different colours to express different types of experiences.

These The Ripple exhibits explore the community’s hopes for the future. This illustration created with young people shows their dreams of more hospital staff & shorter waits, more clothing&food shops, green spaces&park improvements, art venues, free ice cream & no bullying

And this final (beautiful!) piece takes the form of a wishing well on which community members could hang clay artworks representing their hopes, dreams and desires for the future - with over 60 clay plaques created for the project

Yesterday we were honoured to attend Edinburgh Futures Institute's 'Recycling a Hospital' ceremony, where we explored the past and discussed our hopes and dreams for the future of this very special building. A very moving and powerful event, thanks to all involved including our own Jimmy Turner
