It's wonderful for the Dementia & Delirium team to see Laura Chatfield's initiative in action, planning tea events for patients with delirium and dementia while in hospital, assessing occupational therapy needs, aswell as providing essential stimulation through quizzes and music

Great to see some excellent multi disciplinary work with our Admiral Nurses and the MDT to enhance the discharge process for our patients living with Dementia and experiencing delirium. 🤩🙌🏼

Our LD and Dementia Links/Champions session today was around exploring the values they hold as a person which contributes to the current workplace cultures they have and how this affects person-centred care for people with learning disabilities and dementia.

Roxanne & Karen supporting a dementia awareness project by the Gurdwara in Ilford. Community support is vital, as those we reach today may come into the hospital tomorrow. By fostering understanding, families feel supported and patients receive compassionate, tailored care.

Karen and Lorenzo met the Champions on the wards for Learning Disabilities and Dementia .Together we put the our heads and hearts together, exploring ways to make hospital stays safer, calmer, & more comfortable for patients with learning disabilities, dementia, and their carers

Roxanne from BHR and the Alzheimer’s Society led our first dementia awareness session at the Gurdwara in Ilford. This vital work helps support our community, including when individuals with dementia attend hospital. Awareness and understanding are key to reaching those affected.

The Dementia and Delirium Team will be visiting wards today at King George and Queens hospitals as part of Dementia Action Week. We’ll be chatting with staff about John’s Campaign and the importance of 'This is Me ', Looking forward to seeing as many staff throughout the day.
