Our cattle regularly get mooved around the site, where their lighter touch trampling and grazing across a large area, helps create a varied structure in the vegetation, opening up some bits and leaving others longer, increasing plant and insect diversity. #FarmingFriday

There’s still time to book your place on our upcoming Tree ID for Beginners events. Experience the magic of our very own rainforest by exploring Naddle Forest with our Assistant Warden Richard, learning how to identify native trees in winter. events.rspb.org.uk/events/98721

So, I’m trading gifs and taking the piss with Bay Tales #baytales26 and Vic Watson-Logan #baytales26. Good fun, but it obscures a serious point. What Vic had done for Whitley Bay, crime fiction, and book lovers is remarkable. In a time when the arts are being squeezed, it’s vital work. Give them a follow
