Thank you to Wellcome Connecting Science Learning and Training for the bursary and Nottm NIHR BRC MSK Surgery Inflammation & Recovery for additional funds to attend the #Microbiome24 conference last week at the Wellcome Genome Campus. Was a great meeting and I made lots of new contacts with many suggestions & comments on my MRes Bioinformatics study.

Kudos & thanks to co-authors Dr Joanne Stocks stefan qz Alexander Bennett , funding from Versus Arthritis & Defence Medical Services & support from colleagues at Defence Rehabilitation and all those involved in ADVANCE Study

Was great to present data from our BioMilOA study on Osteoarthritis Biomarkers in Military Personnel CBIS Blast & Injury Conference 2024 and to hear other ADVANCE Study team members Alexander Bennett and Dr Sarah Dixon Smith sharing other latest ADVANCE study updates #BCIC24

The pre-proof version of our paper 'Association of serum biomarkers with radiographic knee osteoarthritis, knee pain and function in a young, male, trauma-exposed population – findings from the ADVANCE Study' is available as open access in Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Journals bit.ly/TraumaBiomarke…

Great opening day of UK Research in Musculoskeletal Epidemiology meeting Keele University 🐿️ #UKRiME

.Dr Stevie Shoop-Worrall discussing how PPPI can input into musculoskeletal research using AI, not just selecting treatment outcome to use. Patients input which best fit model best fits their lived experience and practitioners input into which model is clinically meaningful #UKRiME2024

On behalf of co-investigators Oliver OSullivan, Alexander Bennett, stefan qz and Ana Valdes I was pleased to be able to present result’s from ADVANCE Study’s BioMilOA at today’s UK-RiME conference. Thanks to funding from Versus Arthritis.

Another excellent 2 day #UKRiME Showcase of UK musculoskeletal epidemiology research. Thanks so much to @KayleighJMason and #KeeleMSK for organising and hosting and Versus Arthritis for funding. Looking forward to next year with UoAEpidemiology.

If you are at the basem_uk conference today make sure to catch Oliver OSullivan at 4.15pm presenting some of our results from the Versus Arthritis funded Bio-Mil-OA study which is a sub study of ADVANCE Study specifically investigating OA biomarkers following combat blast injuries.

Thanks for the shout-out OARSI Early Career Investigators ! Important work exploring molecular biomarkers in a young, male, injured ADVANCE Study population to help us to identify OA and pain earlier, enabling targeted interventions. Supported by Versus Arthritis Nottingham Research stefan qz Dr Joanne Stocks
