Chalk streams are vital habitatsโ85% are in England, 10% in Herts. Once theyโre gone, theyโre gone. Nature bodies are warning they're in dangerโeven before the Planning and Infra Bill passes. I'll keep working with The Wildlife Trusts to ensure they get the protection they need.




๐๏ธ Today marks one year since Defra UK launched a โrapid reviewโ of the Environmental Improvement Plan. ๐ช The Office for Environmental Protection has warned the window to get on track to meet environmental goals will soon slam shut. ๐ Safe to say thereโs a lot riding on the new plan.


A pleasure to attend the Royston Allotments Open Day and meet so many dedicated growers last weekend. Allotments are vital community spaces that promote sustainability, wellbeing, and connection. We need far more of them to meet demand. I'll be championing them in Parliament.
