Just heard from Hari Sridhar in India that Priya Iyer Priya Iyer tragically died on January 25. She was a brilliant scientist and wonderful person.

Happy to say just awarded 2.5 yr grant via U Hawaii from Gordon & Betty Moore Foundation for project, Theory of Holobiont Evolution. Incl funds for 2 yr postdoc in theoret popgen/applied math to reside at Hi Inst Marine Biol. Details in April.
