Vorfreude: Dieser Band geht jetzt in den Druck. Bd. 5 der Reihe Neue Romantikforschung. Hg. gemeinsam mit Frederike Middelhoff. Mit Beiträgen u.a.v. Antonia Villinger Mareike Schumacher Joanna Raisbeck #KarolineVonGünderrode #Romantikerinnen

Somewhat late to the party, but I'm very pleased to see my article on Fichte's Anglophone reception in 'Rhetorik. Ein internationales Jahrbuch' is open access (degruyter.com/document/doi/1…). I'm in very esteemed company, and the idea came from Somerville College...

Very excited to be able to be at #autoruebersetzerinnen Università di Padova today and tomorrow (giornata internazionale della donna), with fantastically rich papers, and doing something myself that fits the theme via Sophie Mereau, her translation of Rousseau, and autonomy.

New book - out today!! 🥳🤩📖 Congratulations to Dr Charlotte Lee - Associate Professor of German MMLL Cambridge & Fellow Murray Edwards College - on the publication of a new edited anthology *German Romantic Poets* as part of Everyman's Library Pocket Poets series!

Now that all is official, I can say that I will be joining Lincoln College Oxford German at Oxford in the autumn as the Montgomery Fellow in German Literature. Whilst I have to depart Italy early, I'm hugely looking forward to getting started with teaching and research at Oxford Modern Languages!

Whilst my Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions project is coming to an end this month, I'm delighted to see proofs of the first piece I've written during it - a foray into Rahel Levin Varnhagen's fantastically rich "Denktagebücher". Without @ModellRomantik, this wouldn't have been possible.

It was an absolute pleasure to attend NARS (Nordisk Selskab for Romantikstudier) Umeå universitet last week - thrilled to be able to present on Romanticism (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions), to hear such stimulating papers, and to discover the beauty of Arctic Sweden...tills nästa gång!

As the last hurrah for my Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Università di Verona project, I'm very happy to be participating in the excellent and hugely stimulating seminar on 'Interplanetary Perspectives' at the GSA in Atlanta #theGSA2024 The GSA | @thegsa.bsky.social - despite the inclement weather from Hurricane Helene...

I'm very pleased to be starting as Montgomery Fellow in German Literature at Lincoln College Oxford Oxford Modern Languages today - very much looking forward to the new term and the new academic year!
