As I count down to my departure from UK in Holy See 🇬🇧🇻🇦 next week and hand the reigns to Dr Anabel Inge I was pleased to attend the General Audience one last time today.

This was a terrible killing. I have been truly impressed by the selfless work many religious carry out around the world, often at considerable risk to themselves and South Sudan is no exception. RIP Srs Mary and Regina. UK in Holy See 🇬🇧🇻🇦

Today completes my mission to UK in Holy See 🇬🇧🇻🇦. It has been an eventful 4 years. I’ve had the pleasure to visit some of the most spectacular places and meeting the most incredible and inspiring people. Keep up the good work!!

Tomorrow faith leaders and scientists will challenge COP leaders to address the climate crisis. So proud to have played a small part in this initiative and of UK in Holy See 🇬🇧🇻🇦, Italy to Holy See and Vatican colleagues for seeing it through. #Faiths4COP26

Make no mistake: Russia is isolated 🇬🇧 Ambassador Barbara Woodward's words to 🇺🇳#UNSC after Russia singlehandedly blocked a resolution that was supported by a majority of Council members to end the war in #Ukraine. #StopRussianAggression

Mariupol has been bombarded by Russia since day 1 of the invasion. Throughout its assault, the Kremlin lied about targeting civilians. Today a once thriving city is in ruins. The UK and its allies will help the Int'l Criminal Court investigation to hold those responsible to account.

New(ish) jobs bring new opportunities and challenges. Thanks to colleagues UK at the UN 🇬🇧🇺🇳 for hosting me this week. Looking forward to attending UNSC and CEDAW elections, as well as meetings on senior appointments.

Great talk with H.E. Ms. Eksiri Pintaruchi, DG of the Dept of International Organizations กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ | MFA of Thailand. We spoke about inclusiveness within the IPCC, balancing views between developed/developing countries, and involving younger generations in climate change initiatives.
