Game two in Chapel Hill underway. Arizona Baseball RHP Raul Garayzar battled his command in the first but ultimately stranded the bases loaded.

Sam Angelo entered the NCAA tournament hitting .218/.344/.346 with two homers – the last of which came on April 1 against Gardner-Webb. The Carolina Baseball designated hitter is now 7-for-19 with four homers in six postseason games.

.Arizona Baseball has done a nice job offensively today. They have scored in five of six innings and just stretched the lead to 6-4 with a Maddox Mihalakis RBI single in B6. Four of the six runs for the Wildcats today have scored with two outs.

.Carolina Baseball refused to let Arizona run away with this one. A four-run seventh, highlighted by a three-run HR for Tyson Bass, puts UNC back on top 8-6 in the seventh.

Back and forth we go in Chapel Hill. After UNC took an 8-6 lead, Arizona Baseball has battled back to tie it in B7 on a Brendan Summerhill RBI double and a wild pitch. Heck of a finish coming.

It's a 10-8 win for Arizona Baseball and we'll have a game three here in Chapel Hill tomorrow. Great game, really resilient performance by the Wildcats.

I wrote about a hard-fought win for Arizona Baseball and how it sets up a fun all-freshman pitching matchup in game three tomorrow.

A ticket to Omaha will be earned today in Chapel Hill. Arizona Baseball is up 1-0 early thanks to a solo HR for Garen Caulfield around the LF foul pole.

.Carolina Baseball has turned this game on its head thanks to a three-run HR off the bat of Jackson Van De Brake. It came off the bat at 111 mph.

.Arizona Baseball were the Cardiac Cats today, coming from 3-1 down for most of the game to score three late and secure a 4-3 win. Tony Pluta (who else?) got the last three outs.

I loved hearing how the Arizona Baseball program embraces that it's chasing a fifth national championship rather than shying away from that. Here's my story from Chapel Hill on the Wildcats' chase for five moving on to Omaha.
