There is a little of the jungle sniper from WW11 about our Gareth Lambe Himantoglossum robertianum on its last legs but I don't think that they look any better brand new🤣

The Southern Peaks and have some small orchids (in the open) Early-Purple, Fly and Southern Marsh-orchids hiden in the hollows they are 'normal'. While you are here can you explain the way hyphens seem to jump around within the names. Yours baffled. Dr Richard Bate Gareth Lambe

Everything is food for something else depending on what stage of your life you are at😱🤣 Smooth Newt, tadpoles, Large Red Damselfly and Broad-bodied Chaser, Three of these are looking for love and the other just wants to grow up Gareth Lambe Dr Richard Bate

Chappetts Copse last weekend, if the first two are Sword-leaved and the last one is White Helleborine could the third photo be a hybrid with its pointed ridged leaves and smaller bracts? Dr Richard Bate Gareth Lambe

Noar Hill last Monday I know that I'm slow to reveiw my photos😱. Temperature seemed to open the White Helleborine up plus a few Common Twayblade. A Figwort under attack from Mullain Moth and Figwort Weevil (can you see my fat head in reflection?) Dr Richard Bate Gareth Lambe

Noar Hill last Monday. Duke of Burgundy, Small Blue, worn Common Blue(?) and Green Hairstreak butterflies distracted me from the orchids Dr Richard Bate Gareth Lambe

My last photos from Noar Hill. Three different plants of yellow Fly orchids including the one that had been flatterned. And just because the rangers had collected all the corrugated iron sheets doesn't mean that they aren't worth a look Slow Worms. Dr Richard Bate Gareth Lambe
