Paper out today, with oscar . We use TIMSS to look at between-class ability grouping (setting). We find NO EVIDENCE it harms outcomes for kids from poor backgrounds. But some evidence teachers feel it helps them stretch most able. Full paper: johnjerrim.com/wp-content/upl…
