I was delighted to show John G O'Dwyer around Ballylooby this morning. I told John of my plans to try get a Tourist trail up and running based around the fantastic history here in Ballylooby/Clogheen/Ardfinnan areas. From IRA Safehouses,to ambush sites,to SeathrĂșin CĂ©itinns birth

St Finbarr's Pilgrim Path is one of the most isolated & challenging of Ireland's pilgrim paths. It crosses the Shehy Mountains to Gougane Barra & takes 2 days. Next guided walk is June 14 & 15 as part of the Pilgrim Journey, 2025. Info 028 31547 or email: [email protected]

Am greatly looking forward to the Ireland West launch of my new book in the memorable surroundings of Ballintubber Abbey Church on May 12 @ 7.30. I will also give an illustrated talk on my pilgrim journeys in Ireland & Spain. If in #Mayo, why not pop in? The Mayo News Currach Books
