Twenty institutions across India came together for the #GenomeIndia initiative by Department of Biotechnology, the data from which is now available for researchers. Dr. Mayurika Lahiri's group Mayurika Lahiri from the Biology department at #IISERPune was part of this national project!

Happy to see this work from my PhD finally published! I hope this small contribution can inform future studies that benefit the Atahualpa population, and perhaps more studies on local adaptations to diet in other populations as well.
