This said by defence barrister today & was not challenged. It is unlikely to have been said as 8-9 % as such a specific figure! Plus expert witness giving evidence followed with 'to have such a high level missing makes it very challenging to understand the context (of messages).

CPS barristers can seemingly 'ignore' enquiries from its press officers (and therefore the press) without any recourse, I have just been advised by its press office. They can reply 'when able to' is the only current rule. I suggested a review as this seems too open ended.
