When people move into a care home, they hope it will be their home for the rest of their life. But around 1,500 care homes closed between 2015 and 2025. I was lucky enough to contribute to research led by Jon Glasby which looked at what happens when care homes close.

Thanks to National Institute for Health and Care Research for funding, and to our Advisory Board (Age UK, ADASS, Care England 💚, Sandra Prew-ENRICH(ENabling Research In CareHomes), Care Quality Commission, SCIE, Agewell etc) for helping to shape and share these materials
