Amazing response to yesterday’s post about adult strength training. Adults should be training to feel better. If you look better but feel worse you’re defeating the purpose. The real test of a training program is how you feel getting out of bed.

Controversial Thought- teaching starts may be one of the biggest wastes of time in strength and conditioning. If you aren’t going to a football combine, save time and run flyes. I wish I had all the time back I spent with hockey and bball I spent teaching starts.

Things That Drive Me Nuts Part 6 Sport coaches who preach about culture but don’t enforce mandatory strength and conditioning in season. Strength and conditioning is part of practice. It’s not elective. Practice is not optional. Effort in practice, also not optional.

From 2012-2019 Manchester University didn’t lose a Bronze Ball game against AU. I was lucky enough to be there for four of them. Multiple classes of AU players didn’t even know what the Bronze Ball looked like outside of pictures and seeing us hold it up in front of them. (1/)
