One of the lowest points for my husband was that at every visit to his oncologist, she would tell him that he could take MAID whenever he chose. He felt like he was a bother and that she wasn’t willing to fight as hard as he was. That she had written him off.

How many Canadians are opting for euthanasia because they can't travel abroad for lifesaving surgery? 🤔 ctvnews.ca/health/article…

I'm seeing exactly zero coverage of the AMA reaffirming its opposition to assisted suicide. The AMA also rightly rejected use of the term MAID: “Descriptors such as Medical Aid in Dying (MAID), physician aid-in-dying, and death with dignity could apply to palliative care

This is deeply concerning and totally unacceptable. Acts of violence and intimidation have no place in our communities. We stand with our Jewish neighbors against antisemitism. Everyone deserves to live, pray and do business without fear in Massachusetts.wcvb.com/article/suspec…

It’s important to challenge the dogma, for sure. But if you don’t take your kids the doctor, you’ll have fewer doctor visits and fewer (reported) ear infections etc. That doesn’t mean they’re healthier.

Fascinating - the prospect of organ donation can certainly incentivize ECPR. Is this a win-win for marginal patients who might not have been candidates, but with more liberal cannulation thresholds are afforded a chance? Should anyone *not* get ECPR?
