It's us Wogan Cavern ! We're heading into the field again *this weekend* so keep an eye out here for further updates as we continue our work at the site

This summer's excavation Wogan Cavern is up and running! Work has started on two new trenches investigating deposits in the centre and against the western wall of the cave. Excavation of the Ice Age archaeology continues along the eastern wall 🦣

And we are off! 2nd phase of excavations in Navan Fort with James O'Driscoll. We have 4 trenches planned in the iconic enclosure. All desodded, fenced and ready for some archaeology tomorrow! Thanks to colleagues loveheritageNI Communities NI and ABC Council Watch this space!

This site is just too exciting to stay away from.... We're back Wogan Cavern for an extra (2-week) 2023 field season! Excavations are now up and running as we continue to investigate the extent and distribution of the undisturbed #Palaeolithic and #Mesolithic archaeology.


Mesolithic Deeside Thanks everyone who took part in the test pitting we got it all finished today. Results will be a few weeks but we hope Tim Kinnaird and Richard will get some interesting results. Bottom spit today 2 or 3 Mesolithic blades Bruce Mann Dig It!
