My casual observations of when the Tarahumara came to my town to run (I have been in their style of huaraches ever since) is this is correct. A friend, Hal Walter, a burro runner at 65, clocks about 3 hours running average daily. I was at my best at 4-5 hours 10 yrs ago

This is an incomplete thought process I have logged and still work with small loggers buying trees for my micro sawmill. There is not enough investment capital, skilled labor, proper equipment, or profit margins to see a big increase in clear cutting and strip mining operations

Most news outlets require lunatics to take office, otherwise clicks would be far less. The right is unknowingly killing thier best advertisers.

Can city states recover support from nationalism if they produce a city flags? Seems like only a diamond cuts a diamond So city flags, city anthems, city lore could help counter nationalism.

Remember throughout American history rural farmers/ranchers and miners wanted higher inflation and tariffs as they desired the price of commodities to be higher. Sherman Silver Act was the high water mark of this and rural folk are socialists even if they proclaim the opposite

The counter to this is people that live in rural areas get massively depressed because the natural world is often absolutely brutal to live in. The highest rates of suicide is farmers and ranchers because nature and distant markets make for a stressful and poor existence

Trump excudes weakness. He had been robust to all manner of criminal behavior. Not to covering up. It signals weakness & animals detect weakness.

As a casual observer who hasn’t covered the Epstein case, I didn’t think there was anything of note in these files… until people started going to these lengths to keep them secret.

The Speaker of the House recessed Congress early yesterday for a month to avoid dealing with the Epstein issue. Mr. Speaker, the American people won’t forget. My legislation isn’t going away. It’ll be right here when we return and I’ll force the vote using a discharge petition.

.Congresswoman Chellie Pingree 🇺🇸🇺🇦 and I reintroduced the PRIME Act today (HR 4700). The bill would give individual states freedom to permit intrastate distribution of custom-slaughtered meat such as beef, pork, or lamb to consumers, restaurants, hotels, boarding houses, and grocery stores.

Rural towns like mine tried so hard to freeze anything from changing that they aged themselves out of existence. Sprawl is a problem, but going extinct is much worse. wetmountaintribune.com/2024/01/27/the…
