So right now the biggest challenge I see with coprocessors is related to interop. My copro computes some complex data in memory. Your copro needs some of that data for its complex calcs. They can't share this, they can only derive from the settlement state.

Governance stagnated because idealism trumped pragmatism. The headwinds are now entrenched interests in a broken system. Fortunately, that system is new enough that we can keep breaking it down and iterating. This isn't easy but it's fundamental.
