Tony Scott just knew how to shoot a movie star

Christopher McQuarrie revealed that they had planned a whole sequence with young Ethan Hunt that took place in 1989, and he was going to shoot it like a Tony Scott film. He said that he studied Tony for the sequence, but it was ultimately cut due to cost (de aging is expensive)

Shit all over M:I:3 as much as you want, but that one was the first of the saga to make Lalo's THE PLOT theme a main character. That alone deserves 10 stars.
