Electrochemical CO2 reduction on nanostructured metal electrodes: fact or defect? Check out this awesome Minireview from Wilson Smith if you're interested to find out more about how surface area and catalyst thickness affects performance! rsc.li/3a14lLL

Speaking to the University of Toronto student chapter of SPE International about CO2 conversion technologies and CERT ās journey through the Carbon XPRIZE competition! Thanks to CAPP Oil Gas Canada for connecting us!

I STOPPED THE CAR AND WEPT LAST NIGHT. It was after midnight. I was driving home from another 18 hour day at Sinai Health + University Health Network and then i saw this. THANK YOU to my @CityofToronto and its citizens for these #ActsofLove that are keeping its #frontline health workers going.

Bazylak and co-workers uoftmie use x-ray imaging to monitor bubble formation during CO2 electroreduction. This paper is first in the #Electrosynthesis special issue, guest edited by Wilson Smith and Raffaella Buonsanti. Stay tuned! bit.ly/3fwdLST Editor: Michelle Muzzio

It was a joy to work on this inter-disciplinary project with my collaborators at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to find new insights on the influence of the gas diffusion layer in CO2 electroreduction product selectivity. Looking forward to future opportunities to work together!

Congrats Erick et al. on today's Science Magazine! Among the milestones is single-pass #CO2 utilization of 77% while making majority C2 products. Thank you TotalEnergies Sinton Lab Fengwang Li F. Pelayo GarcĆa de Arquer and University of Toronto for this account of the advance bit.ly/3yZIpxM

Cu electrocatalysts can reduce CO2, but selectively achieving one product is difficult. Congrats to Prof Sargent and team for their work introducing Au to Cu catalysts to improve CO2 electroreduction to CH4! Sargent Group UofT @tedsargentTO Joshua Wicks nature.com/articles/s4146ā¦

Take a look at our work - we used scalable milling to synthesize tailored nano catalysts for green hydrogen production at industrial conditions. @AdvSciNews U of T Materials Eng Sargent Group UofT McMaster Engineering Queen's University CanadianLightSource Advanced Photon Source NSERC / CRSNG onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100ā¦

Congratulations to Joshua Wicks Sinton Lab @NUANCEcenter @HUST University of Auckland | Waipapa Taumata Rau et al. on today's nature article reporting 91% faradaic efficiency CO to acetate. A highlight: 820-hour operation of the reactor. bit.ly/3oZFLrm Northwestern Chemistry Northwestern Engineering CanadianLightSource
