Speaker Adams says it’s too soon to consider campaigning for Zohran Mamdani or accepting a position in his administration: “We'll look further down the road as time goes on to see what, you know, what is down the road.”

New: Ranked choice results show Mamdani with 43.5% in the 2nd round to Cuomo's 36.5% (the same margin as the 1st round). Mamdani wins the election by surpassing 50% in the 3rd round.

Money flowed from a group of doctors and health care professionals in early June, and roughly a week later, the mayor honored them at Gracie Mansion. Reached over the phone last month, one of those doctors told me there was "no direct cause-effect relationship.”

Cuomo’s big donors are split: Scaramucci was a big financial backer of Cuomo in the primary. He says he’s supportive of a run on the independent line, too. But other former Cuomo-heads, including billionaire Bill Ackman, are now endorsing Adams.
