We are JUA KIVU: a Global Health EDCTP3 -funded consortium with 5 African and 3 European partners. We conduct #mpox emergency outbreak research to better understand the dynamics of the ongoing outbreak in Africa, providing evidence-based support for its containment. juakivu.org

The first JUA KIVU paper is published! We show that #mpox rapidly spreads in densely populated areas mostly through sexual contact, highlighting the need for more collaboration, health education strategies, contact tracing, clinical care and surveillance. nature.com/articles/s4159…
