Today, Jubaland Ministry of Health Minister, Eng Ismail Garas received a delegation led by WHO Somalia Rep Dr Van De Weerdt in Kismayo. The visit was mainly on strengthening working relationship. The delegation also vistd H.E Ahmed Sheikh Mohamed Islam &had a discussion on ways to increase WHO support in JSS.


Together with Jubaland Ministry of Health Minister Eng Ismail Garas and the entire Jubaland cabinet; H.E Ahmed Sheikh Mohamed Islam today launched a high-level BCU event which is aimed to reduce zero-dose & under immunised children Jubaland State House. Present were also UNICEF Somalia & WHO Somalia.


Officials from Ministry of Health- Somalia have concluded a high-level training in Beijing to strengthen Somalia's healthcare system, organized by China's commerce and health ministries. This collaborative effort will help improve healthcare delivery for the Somali people.


A delegation from MOHADM-JSS led by Minister @dhiriq61979 , alongside WFP Somalia , OCHA Somalia , and the SomaliNGOConsortium , visited Minister of Jubaland Ministry of Health H.E. Mr. Eng Ismail Garas to discuss the Aid Diversion Policy Framework. #humanitarianaid #Aidsiversion

Today,Jubaland Ministry of Health together with its partners WHO Somalia & UNICEF Somalia officially launched the NID round one vaccinations in Kismayo, Jubaland.


In response to the recurring outbreak of AWD/Cholera, the Jubaland Ministry of Health concluded five days of mass OCV campaign in areas of Northern Kismayo which included; Istanbul, Lug'low, Bula-Bartire and others. WHO Somalia UNICEF Somalia

In an effort to curb the frequency of Cholera/AWD in Kismayo District, the Jubaland Ministry of Health together with UNICEF Somalia , carried out the construction of emergency latrines in the most affected IDP camps. #choleraprevention #diseasescontrol


Today, H.E Minister Eng Ismail Garas officially launched the NIDs1 nOPV2 vaccination campaign at the Jubaland Ministry of Health HQ in Kismayo. Present were also UNICEF Somalia & WHO Somalia reps. The 5 days campaign will be conducted across all the districts of Jubaland state. #Vaccinesaveslife


A high-level delegation from Save the Children in Somalia visited Kismayo to assess the health services in Kismayo. Officials from Jubaland Ministry of Health accompanied the team to the facilities supported under #CHASP project including the Kismayo General Hospital & Midnimo HC.
